Voyages of the Sphinx

 

Client

Our application was developed for GameHouse. GameHouse is mainly engaged in developing mobile games, but also works on desktop games. The broad variety of games provides a huge user base to play our game.

The client’s desired goal is for us to make an AR (Augmented Reality) game, in which the user controls a 17th century trading ship in a semi-open world. The emphasis in the game must lie on it being fun and entertaining.

 

Description

In this game, you control the Sphinx, a trading ship. In an AR world containing multiple islands and a large range of events, the player can trade goods on each island’s market, responding to the different prices they offer. Over time, events will pop up presenting the player with dilemmas, offering choices which might result in gaining or losing goods or reputation. The reputation of the player also influences the prices the islands are willing to offer.

You can play the game by touch input. The first time you play you will need to complete the tutorial. The basic controls of the game are explained in the tutorial.
