Client Description:
The Ontdekfabriek is a place in Strijp-S where they celebrate creativity and inventions to make the world a better place. During the day visitors (mostly children) can do crafting workshops, try games, and let their creativity run wild.
Description of the Assignment
Create a game where the player is surfing on a suspended crate through a fictional Ontdekfabriek warehouse. The environment should be based on an upcoming trilogy of stories for the Ontdekfabriek, and feature elements of the current real location, as well as the inventions. Further, the game had to be expanded on the already existing ideas with new locations, improved features, new levels and improved physics.
Game Description:
The game is an endless runner set in an abandoned warehouse. The player navigates through the warehouse in a crate suspended from the ceiling. The primary mission is to collect various tools required to recover different inventions. These tools are found in boxes that the player can pick up along the way.
As the player moves through the warehouse, they must avoid obstacles and gather power-ups that aid in their journey. The game features branching paths, allowing players to choose their route. The warehouse is divided into different zones or biomes, each with its unique visual style and challenges, keeping the gameplay fresh and engaging where the objective is to collect as many tools as possible while continuously advancing through the changing environment of the warehouse.
